I grew up in a Pentecostal church — traditional gospel music is my foundation. But traveling all around the world and listening to all kinds of music, gospel, Christian, and secular, helped shape and influence the sound I carry today.

Rhythm & Praise came about from a desire to listen to Christian-based music with a little hot sauce added — Louisiana style. Something that gets your feet tapping and your fingers snapping, all within the confines of acknowledging the Love of God.

Traditionally, the one and only Andraé Crouch — my favorite song of his is "My Tribute." I also have to give it up for the hometown hero Kirk Franklin, who I believe operates in that same Andraé Crouch anointing. On the secular side, I have to go up the road to the neighbor state and say the GAP Band. Robert Wilson is my all-time favorite bassist.

The message in my music is to spread the Love and Hope of God through His beloved Son Yeshua — while dancing the David dance.
